I have mixed feelings about the image quality. It's sharp most of the time, but there is some smudginess in parts of the images on occassion (as also happens on many other camcorders) and I will need to spend more time experimenting with shutter speed/iris, etc settings to try and get rid of it. I'm also rather dissappointed that the images generally look somewhat pale rather than bright and vivid when viewed on a computer monitor even though they look bright and vivid on the cameras LCD. Hopefully I will eventually learn what settings will produce bright and vivid images on my computer monitor."
