Beautiful color right out of the box, but bad speakers., I have to say I was pretty impressed when I first turned this TV on and switched to the HDMI input that my cable service is coming into. I'm a bit of a stickler for a properly calibrated monitor or television, I've invested hundreds in calibrating equipment, DVDs, etc., but I've never turned on a TV and seen it already so close to being perfect. For most people it probably couldn't get much better, and for me it only took minor tweaking to get it nailed down. The backlight is perfectly even and provides the perfect range of brightness. The menus are attractive and very easy to navigate, and there are loads of input options. The whole TV is very thin and light, I had no trouble picking it up off the stand downstairs and taking it upstairs so our guests could play XBOX on it in the gameroom. This is to be expected, though, especially on such a thin TV (where are you going to put high-quality speakers in a TV that thin?). Luckily there's a standard 3.5mm audio output jack and you can set the internal speakers to off but still retain variable analog output. Get some decent PC speakers if you don't want to spend a lot, plug them into the rear output, set them to a reasonable volume, and get excellent sound while never having to touch the speakers again.

The TV market is quite saturated and chances are you have dozens of options that are very similar. I can't say if this TV is better or worse than any of the others, but what I can say is that you're not going to be disappointed with it."
